Summer Fun

We have been too busy playing all summer for me to sit down and do a post. James and I took a trip to Vegas in early June. We had a blast. Stayed at the Mandalay Bay and loved chillin by the pool(me) and sitting at the poker tables(James). We went to the Cirque Du Soliel show called Love. It was great. Especially if you are a Beatles fan...who isn't? The highlight of our trip was eating at Bobby Flay's restaurant, MESA! YUMMMM-O! We are ready to plan another Vegas trip just so we can eat there again.
The boys and I spent most of our summer at the waterslide. We absolutely LOVED it. We went about three times a week. Then in late July we started trading a waterslide day for a lake day. Good times! We are already REALLY missing it!

There are a few photos of us Mountain Biking with the Honeycutts (love them) We had a great time and want to go more often!

The Big Three-OH!!!

Well, I turned thirty and it didn't even hurt! For a while I've been dreading turning thirty but I finally came to the decision that I'm ok with this milestone. I'm proud of where I am in life and have been blessed through the years so this is a good thing! If you had asked me ten years ago where I would be when I turned thirty, I'm sure I would have told you many many things but where I am now is certainly not where I pictured myself to be. Not in a million years did I picture myself to be a stay at home mom with two little boys living in Vernal! I had big plans to get out of town and make a big career as a hairstylist! Welp, Good thing I didn't stick to that plan. Sounds fun but this is exactly where I'm supposed to be!

My twenties were good to me and looking back were quite eventful! I experienced a lot of life's gifts, tragedies and lessons. So goodbye to the twenties, thank you for the experience, HELLO Dirty Thirties, I am looking forward to all you have to offer!

The day of my birthday could not have been any better! I was spoiled ROTTEN! So many phone calls, emails, facebook postings, and texts I felt the love from all of my friends and family! I was showered with gifts that I am still so happy about! James got me my DREAM car. We have both wanted a '67 camaro for as long as we can remember. We would often have the conversation about, 'which would be better: a new camaro or the old vintage camaro' Every time the conversation came up we both closed with the agreement on the OLD camaro! Its a diamond in the rough right now. And when I say rough, I really realllly mean rough. The beauty of that is I get to pick EVERY single detail of how my car will end up! YAY! I can't wait for it to be finished so I can drive it! I'm sure it will be a while but I have something to look forward to!

I know it isn't nice to play or pick favorites for fear someone gets their feelings hurt. so I won't call them 'favorites' but I can call them 'Stand Out Moments'
~ Stand Out Moment #1 is my health. I spent the better part of my twenties sick and TIRED! I feel like I missed out on a lot of simple things. Like I didn't get to give all my energy to my life or my family. The realization that my health is the best its been in years is such a great feeling! I was able to spend my day with my family and friends without running out of energy or having to go home early and go to bed becasue I got sick! What a BLESSING good health is!
~ Stand Out Moment #2 was the phone call I got from the Kievers. Suzy called me that night to tell me Happy Birthday and she put it on speaker phone and the whole family sang to me! It was so so cute and I got the lump in my throat trying not to be a boo-hoo baby! haha Thaks guys for topping off my day with THE BEST rendition of Happy Birthday I have EVER heard!

So. That sums up my post all about me! haha Turns out thirty isn't so bad after all the worry I was having.

Preschool Program

Jagger had his preschool program last Thursday. He has LOVED going to school. He loves to sing me the songs and tell me all about the happenings of the day from school! During the winter when he was sick and had to miss school he would cry and be mad at me. EVERY day he wakes up and says, "Do I have school today?" If it wasn't a school day he would ask me when he had school next. He really isn't a morning person but on school days he was out of bed so fast and didn't want to eat breakfast because he wanted to go straight to school but I had to inform him that he had to eat first, then go to school! I love that he had so much fun. He thought he was going to "The Big Boy School" next year but sadly he has a late September birthday so he misses the cutoff. Poor guy is ready. I'm sure he won't mind doing another year with Miss Dana! She is absolutely amazing with the kids and Jagger is crazy about her. He talks about her all the time. Jagger has a peanut allergy and she has been amazing about it. We didn't have one incident all year! YAY!

I was worried for the program that he would get too shy and not sing any songs, get scared and cry but he did quite well. I could tell he was a bit nervous. He pretty much kept his eye on me the entire time but he sang all the songs and did GREAT!!! We are very proud of Jagger!!!

Soccer

Maddox started soccer this year. He has so much fun and looks forward to going every week. He hasn't quite gotten the concept just yet. He just sorta runs with the crowd and has a blast! If he kicks the ball once he stops to look over and give me a thumbs up. James is coaching and sometimes gets frustrated because Maddox really is a fast kid and he doesn't understand that he can run in front of the other kids and take the ball from the other team. He is just too passive. Although I have to say he has improved so much since the first game. Regardless of how he plays, He smiles the entire time and is constantly asking when he gets to go play soccer again. I love watching him play and I love watching James coach. James has had a few parents tell him that their kids talk about how cool their coach is and I think that is too cute!

Madd Madd Maj & Jag

We had some afternoon visitors today and the boys LOVED it! Grandma and Grandpa have Maddock and Major (our nephews) for the weekend so they stopped by to say Hello! All the boys had a fun time running around and checking out toys. Here are a couple pics. Jagger didn't want to be in any pictures so its his fault, not mine, that he isn't a part of this post. Sorry.

Major LOVED the horsie!

Sledding

So I've been quite the blogging slacker lately. Oops. In mid January we went sledding at the Golf Coarse with some of the family. James was out of town so he missed out but Maddox and Jagger had plenty of fun with their Uncles and Grandpa. They take such good care of our boys and of course the boys think they have the absolute coolest Uncles and Grandpa, and I agree!
Jagger wore Grandpa out with his continuous requests to ride alllll the way down to the trees then he made Grandpa pull him back up to the top, Thanks Grandpa! Maddox had a fun time on the 'disc' sled that the Spainhowers gave him for his birthday and he rode his snowboard a little bit! Its amazing how easy it is for him to ride it. I even gave the snowboard a shot. Suprisingly I made it down the hill without falling on the first try, yay me!
Enjoy the pics!
